  • Changing from Solid Axle to QR on Spesh Hotrock

    Daughter has a Specialized Hotrock that has solid axles front and back and I’d like to change them to QR for ease of use when she punctures.

    Is it simply a case of replacing the axle with a hollow one and fitting a QR skewer?

    Should be. Assume theyre Shimano or other reasonably normal hubs.

    Spech own brand I think but look just like Shimano.

    What’s wrong with a15mm spanner? I carry one all the time for my fixed wheel. Surly do a nice trimmed down one if that takes your fancy.
