Does anyone know if the Aiguille Du Midi cable car opens on Saturdays during July ?

Also, does anyone know if the Helbronner “tramway” thing is worth the trip once at the top ?

I’ve been up the Auguille Du Midi a few times to ski the Vallee Blanche in winter, but never only once in Summer and was wondering if the Helbronner bit was worth the extra 30 Euros once at the top.

Open all year except bad weather. Google ‘horaires aiguille du midi’ for the times – abut the 3rd link is in English. If you’ve skiied the VB I don’t think Heilbronner will show you anything new – I went on it to get to the Tour Ronde but remember nothing about it so it couldn’t have been that good.

If your equipped* and there is enough snow the walk to Helbronner is great and return on the cable car. *(Axes/Crampons/Rope/Know How)
