    Hi,
I have a truativ chainset and need a new middle ring.

Are all 104 BCD rings interchangeable?
    Can I put Shimnano on?
I did do so on a Race face crank, but it needed a bit of filing down.

Also those nice Hope ones look good, but can you bung it in a triple?

Studpid questions maybe, but more fun and fatser than Google!

    Cheers in advance.

Narrow wide doesn’t work on a triple.
    Most 104bcd’s should work

I’ve found that a Truvativ 104 BCD middle ring will fit Shimano cranks, and Renthal and Middleburn 104 BCD rings will fit both SRAM and Shimano cranks.

    So yes, in short 😆

edit- if by ‘triple’ you mean just the bare cranks and will be using them for a 1x set up then, that’s yes as well- a 104 BCD ring NW will work on a crank that can take three rings in the middle ring position, you don’t need a specific ‘single’ (like Zee) crank to use a NW ring (or a single ring like Renthal).

its a shame Hope do not do a ramped ring, life would be good after that!

I am plumping for a 36 t ring, any thoughts on those? Make to be decided, though Shimano, despite being the Mondeo of bits, seems toughest.
