When fitting a new chain am I right in thinking, large ring front and back without going through the rear mech and then take out 2 links. Fitting a new chain and can’t remember?!

Big big through the rear mech, then add two links.

Then check small small to make sure it has tension.

Thread it all thru properly, small cog rear and small ring front, chain should just (by mm) be not catching on the jockey wheel on the rear mech.

Am I right in suggesting that if on a full suss frame let the air out the shock and compress it first?
