Just put all the kit for 1×10 on but not sure I’ve got the chain length right or not. In the past I’ve just chucked it round big-big and added a couple of links but that was on a hardtail with 2×9.

On the smallest/highest gear it looks like this.

Is that right or do I need to take another link oot?

You appear to have fitted everything upside down

Less chain means less weight and less slap, right?

The method that Shimano details in their technical document works. But what I do is set the chain length so that in big/big the rear derailleur survives i.e. so that if I took out another link something would give if I shifted into big/big.
