whats the best chain cleaner to use that just washes off. iam fed up of taking chain off and soaking it. i used to use the w5 cleaner in lidls but cant seem to find it now.

I use Halfords citrus degreaser and a Park Tools chain cleaning tool. Seems to work fairly well. Most of the time I just use a washing up brush with Hope Sh1t Shifter. If you clean the chain properly, regularly I find it comes clean fairly easily.

Fenwicks FS-1 combined with a park chain scrubber.

Petrol in the chain cleaner! sure its frowned upon but looks like new after and a bit of oil and it all seems good.

ok thanks will look at some of those. normally keep the chain spotless . that lidls stuff was great at £1.20p

In a word Paraffin.Nowt better

White spirits, old jam jar with lid, chain in, shakey shakey, wipe down, lube of choice. 2 minutes if you really take your time.
