I know a guy who is selling a Cervelo R2 2016 road bike that is second-hand but pretty much straight out of the box.

    It’s a 54.

I’m 5.10″ and wondering if the 54 would be a fit for me?

I’m not good with road bike geometry at all but the geometry data is here for each size:

    https://www.cervelo.com/en/road/r-series/r2/specs%20and%20geometry

I’m presuming it has no pedals on but if I sit on it what should I look out for, size wise?

I think I can likely go and sit on it but I don’t want to waste the guy’s time if it’s not gonna fit me.

If anybody could offer any insight at all it would be gratefully received!

I’m 5’10 and would happily buy a 54cm R2. But I have long legs, long arms and a short body. Everyone is different!

I’m 5’10”, and I’ve just got a R3, which was matched up against my bike fit measurements. In their words, I’m a ’54 all day long’. So I guess you could/should be too.

    I love mine.

Just compare the geometry to your existing frame

Cheers everyone! Sounds like it’s worth a punt then, will take a look at it.
