Putting aside how to minimise wear, do ceramic jockey wheels wear down any slower compared with "normal" jockey wheels?

I know ceramic wheels are meant to run smoother, I'm just asking about gradual wear over time

ceramic jockey wheels or jockey wheels that run on cermic bearings/bushes?

In my experience of using XT mechs that have a ceramic bush on the guide pulley, the nylon jockey wheel wears out and the rubber seal will perish before the bush gets worn. they don't need oiled or greased as well which is handy.

compostie body, ceramic bearings. I was looking at Tacx T4065. They're 50% more in price than the recommended M772 XT replacement wheels but if they last longer I might opt for ceramic over the normal wheels

(I know I can also use LX instead)

Nah, they'll go pointy before the bearings wear out, bit pointless IMO, gonna be rubbish with SRAM XX where they're >£100 for replacements!

yup, all very well have bearings that last forever but the teeth will still wear out just as fast

unless you think you'll notice the infinitesimal difference in the drag
