My brother is staying this weekend with his family and we have agreed to meet up he has one spare bed and was thinking of taking my daughter up and spend two days there sat/Sun. He mentioned getting day passes but he did not mention price how much is it for an adult and child day pass and what time do you have to leave the Park. will probably just kip in the van either outside the complex

there was an opening time but I think it was pretty early – as for leaving I think it’s pretty late. Did the same when my wife took the kids with another single parent family to a 6 bedder, and I didn’t leave until well after the kids were in bed.

My parents joined us for a day at whinfell last November. I think it was about £25 each. Very expensive for what is effectively entry to a swimming pool, but they enjoyed it and the kids enjoyed them being over for the day.

If you’re staying nearby just walk or cycle in, no one checks.

I appreciate the irony!!! Also appreciate that the C.P. experience (cost) is not to everyone’s taste due to cost. We will be going for the last time this year, the pension fund thereafter cannot sustain the expense thereafter 🙁
However on the few occasions over 13 visits when we have “cheated” the company out of a days pass monies we have spent on activities and eating out which as everyone knows is not a cheap option.
Try booking for next Xmas………
The new “super” lodges recently opened looked to be full, now they are expensive!!!!

We have done this loads of times. When people are staying with you in your lodge you do not need to pay for a pass.

When they are day visitors just nip out in the car and pick them, drive in and park in the car park. Simples. No-one checks or even seems to care, you are already paying a fortune and they are likely to spend a fortune so there is no need to feel guilty about it.

Wow what a money pit that place is!!!
Brother met me at the gate 5pm and we rode in. Chalet was so far away from the parking we just slept on the sofas!
Did not realise how big these places are,did not have to pay for my daughter so we spent the entrance day fee on junk food this place specialised in it :-).
Not sure its worth the money they seem to make it a pain to leave the complex i.e. no parking outside chalets

The whole point is that you have a car free stay and are safe to ride/walk in the road without some goon running you over.
