  • Central heating installation question…

Evening all, quick question about central heating. I’m looking at buying a house in the next 12-18 months, looking around a lot of the houses up here in Scotland have electric storage heaters or oil radiators. What would be a ball park figure for getting gas central heating installed for an average size 2/3 bed house, and is it major work (as in floors and walls getting destroyed) or fairly simple and not too intrusive?

    Many thanks 🙂

Biggest thing is to make sure there’s a convenient gas main. Often properties have oil or electric heating due to costs of getting gas supply to the property.

Yes, central heating installation will need a lot of flooring up plus a few holes in walls.

gas central heating with radiators around £2000. but is the reason for electric because they are off grid or there was some cheap deal on electric?
