I have a cateye micro wireless computer and want to run it on a second bike. The kit is £25 but I have seen Catey Vectras for the same money or less. Is there any reason why I can't just buy the vectra and use the mounting kit while trying to flog the computer part of it or keeping it as a spare. The two mounting kits seem to be the same but will it matter that it isn't the second bike kit?

I have some old type Cateye Cordless 2 transmitters which run ok with the current Micro computers. All the transmitters seem to be compatible with all the head units.

suppose if it's not I could just use the Vectra anyway or flog it on classifieds. I'll give it a punt, thanks.
