Can I fit a Cat flap on a upc double glased door.

it has two glass panels, one at top and one at the bottom I presume I will have to replace the bottom on with some sort of specialist unit?

Yes, that’s it – pretty common. We had our door done – one big panel – which cost £120 about 3 years ago. Yours should hopefully be cheaper being smaller.

I presume the panel is plastic and not glass then?

I bought a plastic blanking panel from local double glazing firm for £20 and cut it myself.

No, it’s glass. They cut holes in both panes and seal it all up just like a normal panel.

can be done, the bottom pane is replaced with a new one with a cat flap sized hole in it. Just pop down to your local glazier with the catflap (measurements will be on the box) to have one made. Cost me £80.

You may have to pay some stupid fee to the council for fitting new glazing (or so my glazier told me) even though it’s only one panel being replaced
