  • Carradice Bagman – any decent alternatives?

I’ve got a Carradice Camper Longflap and think it is excellent. However, the Bagman is truly appalling in design and quality.

I’ve put about 1500 miles into it, and one of the legs has worked its way loose a couple of times, despite having been secured with thread lock after the first incident. It just feels flimsy and badly designed – do better options exist?

Bike does not have rack mounts.

    far better design.

The bag is remaining, so it needs to be something that works with that. Any bodges out there?

I was considering the SQR but I’m very happy with the bag I have – all my camping gear fits in it (just) so it’s a perfect size for touring.

The SQR fits to the long flap.
The SQR is the mounting system that attaches to the saddle straps on your bag. You dont need to buy the SQR Tour etc, just the system.

I have mine fitted to a Super C (well two of them actually)
