    .. is NOT 02920. It's 029, and your number had 20 put ont he front of it.

    That was flippin YEARS ago too, and people still don't get it.

    If everyone has a 20 in front of their number, then that's part of the dialing code to all intents and purposes. 😉

    No, because

    a) before long there'll be people with 21 in front of their numbers which will be right confusing for people and

    b) if you are dialling locally then you won't get far if you type in xxxxxx instead of 20xxxxxx

    London's got the same problem. The dialling code is 020, not 0208 or 0207. Try telling any one that tho…

    And apparently in Bristol it's 0117 not 01179. We had a problem in one office where someone's number had been 123456 or whatever – they kept dialling 01179 123456 and our office number was 0117 9123456.. some old geezer, was impossible to tell him what was happening.

    LOL @ Molgrips that used to annoy the fu** out of me too! Still see numpty business people who have printed 02920 124726 on the side of their van makes me laugh and wonder how good their business really is.
