    not really got much idea when it comes to road bikes tbh

    have been offered a giant tcr with some carbon deep section rimmed wheels.

    they are kooka carba wheels and i cant find much out about them online

    its really potholed round my way, i weigh 12 stone, as a general rule will carbon rimmed wheels hold up ok and be comfy?

    Well, pot holes can kill any wheel. If you’re riding bad roads, unless you can afford to replace the carbon rims, I would get a second set of wheels for training on and keep the carbon ones for racing (or sell them).

    Are they clincher or sprint rims?

    ap the tyres look very low profile and seem to be glued on….. if that helps at all

    I’d save them for race days, or sell them. You do not want to have a puncture 50 miles from home with glued on tyres!

    You will probably want to budget buying some clincher (ie tyre + tube) wheels as the sprint wheels you have (glued on tubular) are probably not very suitable for everyday riding – unless of course, you race and time trial a lot.

    eBay the wheels and get clinchers instead…
