MOT expires next week, do I need to inform the DVLA or anyone if its kept on private land untill its next on the road assuming its taxed/insured etc?

Was going to SORN it for 6 months this week but it’s just developed an MOT failing fault and I want it to be MOT’d before I SORN it.

you don’t need to tell anyone.

If you get it SORN’ed you can still drive it to a pre-booked MOT station. Not sure how the insurance side of things work.

Insurance needed to get to MOT station

Cheers, insurance isn’t due untill October, but MOT and Tax are due next week.

So the plan is to get it MOT’d and on the road this week and drive it upto my parents house before SORN’ing it over the winter. Just checking incase I have to tax it again before then as its quite likely I wont get the car working before the MOT expires at this rate *Dam BL and their odd sized tooling meaning its a PITA to get anythign done at home*
