I’m having real issues with visibility when it’s wet and dark. When the wipers pass over certain parts of the windscreen it leaves a kind of ‘ghost’ pattern – hard to descride – that makes it almost impossible to see out of when oncoming traffic have their lights on. It’s worse when the heaters are pointing towards the screen.

Has anyone experienced this and is it any easy fix?

Someone recommended putting some washing up liquid along the blade of the wiper itself (x 2)…

Please help – it’s doing my head in (and dangerous)

Replaced your wiper blades recently? Give them a good clean with something to remove the build up of crap – vinegar is often recommended.

Had same thing recently on my van, tried all sorts as old blades were only 18 months old and looked fine…….replaced the blades and hey presto problem instantly solved. Guess the rubber had started to vulcanise with the UV exposure and crap off the roads.

Vinegar is a good tip for the blades, as is traffic film remover on the windscreen, although Muc-Off has worked well in the past.
