Mrs Turin managed to get the panzerwaggen stuck in some water at the weekend due to the crazy weather in the burgh.

It was so deep that she decided to climb out of the window rather than open the door. She said she drove into it, car cut out and she tried to start it again 🙄

The result was that the car will now not start, the electrics come up fine so im assuming there is water in the engine and it is hydraulicing (sp)

My intention was to remove the glow plugs and turn the engine over to remove said water and take things from there. However I was speaking to a friendly mechanic today who said that they never get water damaged cars in to them because they are now written off due to water damage to the electronics.

its a 54 passat estate diesel

Does anybody know if this is fact or garage myth?

    cheers 😕
