Anyone changed from a company car to running their own? I was wondering if the insurance companies will give any no claims discount when I take out insurance or whether i’ll be starting from scratch?

Did this a few years ago. You will need to get some form of proof from your employers on your driving record.

IIRC I had a clean record over three years with my current employer and 10 years with a previous and I got about 3 years worth of No Claims on a fully comp policy.

Yeah its no problem… just a letter from the employer together with something from their brokers / insurers.

Cheers guys. Reason for teh change is leaving the company (possibly) – so not sure how amenable they will be to providing something like that.

I didn’t even need a letter from the company broker. Letter from my HR Manager got me full no-claims.
