I got a quote for my 17yo daughter on a 2001 Pug 206 Auto 1.4 on a provisional licence with me as a named driver and £600 excess.
    Aviva – £720

It’d be worth doing a quote for if she’d passed too, as you’ll need to then transfer her once she has – and maybe the company with the lowest quote for a provisional is very high when she’s driving herself.

One of our apprentices is 18 and drives a Volvo V40 estate. All the toys, leather etc 1.6. £800 for insurance.
My daughter at 17, we got her a VW polo and was £1400 third party for the first year after she passed her test. Second was £780 and third year, she now has a Focus fully comp at £600. It is painful with getting them started. A friends son had a VW Lupo 1 ltr and was £3000 for the first year at 18, as he waited until he was 18 before he bought a car.3 years later, he has a brand new Corsa and under £700 fully comp.

Quinn. I recall it was under £1,000 for 1.3 Yaris for my daughter when she was 18, admittedly that was 7 years ago now. We added her sisters when they got to 17 and the policy still got cheaper each year.
