    Go compare has links for quotes from warranty direct and ala.

    Quote with Warranty Direct is £135/£148 (for 5k/7k max payout) for 3 years (dealer quoted £350)

    Not just crash write offs though

    Mate had his house broken into, and the keys taken for his audi a5 convertible. Motorbike moved out of the way, car taken from garage. Gap insurance covered the short fall between insurance valuation and outstanding finance.

    Well I say mate, given he drove an Audi he was more of an acquaintance.

    As per the other thread I think its worth buying at the right price (ie often not from the dealer)
