I have a pixma 3500, a couple of days ago went to print a letter off, the printer pulled the paper to one side and screwed it up. Sent through 30-40 pieces of paper each time same happened. It was a job application so i wanted to get a decent print done.

So having given up i am left trying to figure out what may have happened. Does anyone have any advice, considering the cost of printers getting it fixed professionally is uneconomic.

If i should give it up as broken, any recommendations for a printer, reasonably cheap, that is mac compatible.

Given the cost of printers, try and have a poke around inside it ( to use a technical term ) to see if you can pinpoint/sort out why the paper is being dragged off course.

If you don't fix it, then you've not lost anything – a repair will be more expensive than replacement.
