Cannock yesterday was sublime.
I haven’t been up there since the height of summer in August but after a full lap of the monkey yesterday we had a great time.
It was so so beautiful through the trees where all the pine needles were littering the sides of the track like golden snow. Some of the woodwork was a bit slippy but I managed to recover a couple of incidents that might have gone awry. Nice to feel my expereience growing where such incidents would have had me off a few years ago.
It was fairly busy but not packed and had no trouble getting through a the bunches of lads on BSOs without helmets. 😕 One lass just couldn’t get up a hill, her chain just pinged right off whenever she tried to pedal. She had somehow managed top get all the way to rainbow valley but couldn’t it seemed get any further, poor thing, I passed her just staring at her cassette with puzzlement.
All in all: Fantastic!
