    Saw them, all those years ago. Robert "Big Fat" Hite, Adolpho "Fito" de la Para and Al "Blind Owl" Wilson. Great group for a short time. Bryan Ferry did a couple of covers of their numbers.

    I saw them In about '92 In a church hall in feltham of all places. Awesome gig. No bear but on the road again was my fave.

    I was the chief roadie for a SF rock band from 1968 to 2007, the Sons of Champlin.

    The first show I ever worked on was in June, 1968 in Los Angeles, and Canned Heat was the headliner over Sly and the Family Stone and The Sons. They played very loud.

    First heard them on the Woodstock DVD, "Goin up the country" is a great tune.

    I always muddle them up with Moby Grape, which isn't a million miles off I suppose. Think i prefer the Grape though.
