So you can use a tapered steerer in a standard headtube then?

needs to be a headtube that already takes an integrated headset or Zerostack or what ever they call it. Won't work with a 'traditional' headtube that uses external cups, they aren't wide enough to accommodate the steerer.

A 1.5" top cup would be good too. I thought about this when 1.5 was launched. Dammit.
