Branded replacements seem silly money, I guess it’s possible to find a cartridge bearing from another supplier that will do the job at a fraction of the cost?

Looking to replace both lower and upper on a CC40 headset (11/8 upper, 11/2 lower)

    Thanks

The bearings should have some numbers written on them, ACBXXXX etc which will be the bearing number and search online for that or if it has measurements printed on the side search for that. Also go for “2RS” versions of the bearings as these have an adequate amount of sealing.

Superstar also do CC compatible bearings, I’ve not tried them but I have had one of their headsets and assuming its the same bearing supplier I was happy with their performance.
