  • Can you use Straitline bar end caps on carbon bars?

    I have some shiny new red STW straitline bar end caps purchased from the STW shop. Can I use them on carbon bars as the grub screw screws directly onto the bar, unlike the ODI fitting which is more of a clamp.

    i got a nice pink pair, but i had to put them on my girlfriends bike as i didn't want to put them on my CNT bar.

    it might be possible to put a small piece of steel between the grub screw and bar as a shim to dissipate the load?

    i wouldn't.. you can get carbon friendly ones more of a clamp like lock on clamp designs.
