  • Can you use a 27.2mm dropper post in a 31.6mm hole?

I have two bikes but am only likely to get one dropper post for Xmas.

Trouble is they take different-sized seat posts. Is there some kind of thingy I can use to safely and reliably fit a narrow post in the wider seat tube (which is in a carbon frame)?

Seat post shims are in abundance for exactly this purpose. Just google ‘seat post shim’ and duck for there will be loads.
