    I was looking for a shorter stem and a mate offered just what I need
    problem is its 1.5 and I need 1 1/8 is it possible to shim it or should
    I stop being a tight arse and buy the correct size !!

    It’s possible to shim anything but I’m not sure I’d want to.

    What he sid, but for what a machine shop would charge you could buy a thompson in every size.
