being driven to distraction (well replacement I think) by gfs avid juicy 3 brakes, as I get on well with Hope I was wondering if anybody had used a hope brake on an avid disc – mainly to save buying yet another bit.

I’ve used Hope brakes on Hayes discs, Superstar discs, cheap ebay discs.
Its not an issue if the size is right.

I agree, Juicy 3’s suck.

cheers, should have searched but was in harassed mode as it’s hot and a constantly dragging brake has just curtailed a rather pleasant ride…., having investigted it appears to be lazy piston, one side is perfect the other side just doesn’t play, have tried exercising and teflon but still an unhappy camper, but at lest have got it nearly working now…..
