    Hi

    Can you still ride a moped on a car licence or is there now a specific test to take?

    thanks

    CBT = Compulsory Basic training

    I think Compulsory, in CBT answers your question 😉

    Though doing CBT would make a lot of sense anyway, unless you already know how to ride (and I don't just mean how to work a bike, but how to actually survive 😉 )

    Chapter and verse…

    Note the bits about engine size and speed… a 125 scooter isn't a moped.

    I'd highly recommend some training as well. Riding any form of bike requires a few more things to think about than driving a car, although as a cyclist you'll be doing most of them anyway.

    I passed my driving test before Feb 2001 and ride a 50cc on my driving licence – you can even carry a pillion! Although I went ahead and did a CBT so that I could do my big bike licence and I'd highy recommend doing it even if you don't do the bike test. I wished I'd done it ages ago when I started riding my 50cc.

    You can drive a wide track Gilera Fuego or an MP3 LT on a car licence. Might be worth a look.
