Somehow I’ve managed to break off one of the lugs on the back of my Edge 200, I was wondering if I got another one that’s spares or repairs etc, could I replace the back of my current unit? It’s got 4 torx screws but I’ve no idea whether the back is going to be an easy switch over.

A few places sell glue on replacements for Garmins with broken tabs.

I’ve no idea about more recent models but the back of my old Edge 205 was screwed and glued on; the glue broke before the plastic, but not before leaving gouges where I stuck blades in the gap to lever it open. I guess the glue makes it waterproof.

Here is an example of a repair

Not tried it as my mount has always broken rather than the Garmin….so far

dogears are your friend. I use one on my 810 after it went down the road.

How long does the dogears one take to arrive? Prefer the idea of screws on the dogears one to the glue on the racewaredirect one

Think it was days not weeks. I was out of action at the time, so hard to recall. I didn’t bother bonding, just used the screws.
