    I’m looking to buy a pair of used hope hubs

    can they be converted?

    not seen one but I doubt it – the shell is probably wider (unless they just have a massive spacer on the non-drive side)

    You can swap axle diameter on their hubs but not width. The reason 150 came to be was for wider flannel spacing to make a stronger wheel. As above, the shells are different

    You can yes
    I did a swap the other way round on saturday and still have the old axle and end pieces in a bag

    sancho you sure it wpuld seem easier to make a hub wider with spacers but you cannot make it narrower with spacers.
    Sure;y the size refers to the size?

    thought he meant he had a 150mm axle.
    and was using the wide spacers.
