looking at geeting a refurbed PC base unit for Zwift and Bigring VR simulators so they will run a bit smoother.

Anyway, can you connect a TV with an HDMI input to a displayport on a PC as some of the ones i’ve looked at just state displyport not HDMI?

Should be fine, you’ll just need a displayport to HDMI cable.

Yeah. Going to HDMI is a lot simpler than coming from it.

Adapters are available. Check it supports sound though, some don’t.

A scan through my Amazon history tells me this is the one I use.

With the correct adapter 😉 have one for my Mac Mini (mini-display to hdmi) works well, computer normally connected to the tv and only occasionally used with a monitor. You should get sound too but as my Mini is old/2009 I need seperate sound cable.

Is the Mac DisplayPort or $somethingElse? AFAIK all DisplayPort, uh, ports should send sound, if it’s not coming out the other end that’s a flaw in the adapter.

I’m not 100% certain of this so don’t quote me.

I’ve done this for Zwift – TV attached to Mac Mini (direct with HDMI in my case), it’s really good.

Wire is always more reliable than wireless (IME)
