  • Can Maxle dropouts crack if the maxle is too tight?

    I screwed he maxle into Thor lowers last week, the wheel had some play so i tightened the cam and levered it over. The dropout cracked across the top (where i presume the expander wedge over expanded)

    Magura reckon this is not possible, insurance company are being arses!

    Anyone confirm whether i am correct or no?

    Looks like _you_ can.

    How much force were you putting onto the Maxle lever to close it?

    Have you checked the play isn't worn hub bearings, for example?

    Either way the fork is broke, will they not honour the warranty then?
