You need to be lucky with the spokes- basically if the ERD of the rims is the same or very close it’ll work. But I can’t find the spec for the zx24 online to compare.

    Hub’ll be fine though

Swapping rims is fine as long as the rims ERDs match as Northwind says, I’ve done it myself without issue. Though the spokes with those wheels aren’t anything special, so a new set won’t cost a fortune.

Yeah presumable the rims are oem so no details on the Alex website, google how to measure erd and do it yourself. What size are the wheels?

    Excellent thanks
There is a measurement on them which ill check in the morning but i think its along the lines of 6xx-19

So worse case ill need a new set of spokes also or might the nuts be wrong too?

The new rims are UST but does this mean i can run them with tubeless easy tyres?
When did biking get so complicated?!

The erd will not be written on them. The number is written is probably 622 the bead diameter.

The new spokes will come with nipples.

    Planning on doing it yourself?

The Frequencies aren’t UST, they’re UST-Ready which is just exactlythe same as everyone else’s tubeless ready. Can be a wee bit tight but otherwise very good for tubeless with pretty much any decent tyre, they just need taped.

Ive ordered a set as i dont trust the alex rim on the rear anymore

From the ERD of the frequency wheel and the specs of the 675 slx hubs is it possible to work out what spoke length i will actually need? Will the rear spokes need to be longer?

thanks. ignoring the back wheel for now… that can wait. I couldn’t quite get my head round the measurements on the calc you found however using another calc I work out I need 284mm spokes on one side and 285 on the other? as they don’t seem to do 285mm spokes will 284 work both sides?

    SLX dimensions http://www.bikeman.com/HU6180.html

    spoke calc I used http://www.sapim.be/spoke-calculator

284 both sides will be fine. Shop around for spokes as length/price varies
Wildly. Didn’t check your figures in the spoke calculator but somebody probably will 🙂
