As above really, bought a Deore 10 speed triple groupset from Ribble, looks like i inadvertently selected the double front mech when i needed the triple.

I found an xt triple front mech in the spares box but its from a 9 speed groupset. Any reason that it wouldnt work with the new 10 speed setup?

    Thanks!

Should work ok. I’d certainly give it a try before buying a new mech.

Front rings of 9 and 10 speed are the same and in the same position on the spider. ONly diff is that 10 speed chain is a fraction narrower than 9 speed to fit the slightly tighter set up on the rear cassette. Your mech should work fine.

Did it last year, 9 speed Chainrings are fractionaly wider and a little noisier than a 10 until they “Wear” in
