I have a new Spesh frame arriving, and i want to use my current wheels (all 26″)

Now, i have some Pro2’s (non-evo) wheels which i want to use if possible, but the Specialized has the new non-standard standard, of 142+ rear.

I know the new standard is going to be wider, plainly… but can i adapt my (non-evo) Pro2’s to use this system. I appreciate i wont have the benefit of slightly wider hub shell, spoke triangulation etc: but i were to live with this, can i simply get a new axle unit to suit?

    If so, which Hope part..?

I also have a set of Hope Bulb wheels, and the answer might be no here, but could i do the same with these?
any pointers for a confused non-new-standard-traditionalist…?

Yes, you can. No adapters required. Weirdly, the 142+ isn’t wider, it just pushes the cassette and hub flanges out a bit. 142mm hubs fit fine.

    Thanks for that Robin…..
I thought it might be possible, but wanted to check someone had the knowledge.
