Yes, I hate compensation culture and usually would avoid ambulance chasers like the plague. I don't really want to debate whether or not it's right to use these firms, just want advice to know which one to use.

no win no fee means they take a chunk of your 'winnings' though. If its a sure case, might be better to pay some one? Or check you have legal cover on one of your insurance policies/work union.

Now they claim from the other party (usually insurance company) so you get all the payout you would have done.

"Compensation culture" - great term, probably dreamt up in one of the PR companies employed by insurance companies for a negative campaign against fair compensation so that they can continue to screw you.
The judicial system is not filled with idiots ready to shovel out money to the unworthy. PI lawyers do a great job IMO.

if you are in the uk, no win no fee does not mean they take some of your compensation.
