Going up for a few days end of the week, any campsite recommendations in the area?
Stayed at Rosetta last time and wasnt that impressed, stuff out of order, grubby outdated bogs/showers and pretty cramped at the weekend.

That was pretty much my view of Rossetta as well (and quite expensive) I can't believe it keeps getting recomended.

There is Crossburn but no idea if it is better than Rosetta http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2707

been to the Crossburn a few years back it was basic but ok
bit out of town compared to Rossetta …probably a 15 min stagger from the high street

Stayed at Crossburn 2 years ago (think it was that, near the petrol station out of town) about a 10 min walk into town, but was a good site. Stayed for 3 days.
