In the depths of winter ones thoughts often turn to the coming Summer and how it might be enjoyed….
Having camped in France for the last few years we’re wondering about travelling further on the continent and Germany is a sizable portion of that.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Family holiday, 6 & 9 year old girls in tow.
    Cheers!

Anywhere in the Black Forrest will be lovely.

Not specifically having experience of it with our family as we went pre-wedding, but there’s a great site in Berchtesgaden, on a safe walking route to Konigsee. Was very hot when we went too. Salzburg very close by. Lots of waymarked walking in the mountains. Thinking about taking our two at some point.

great campsite, book direct rather than through eurocamp as its only about 20 euros a night.
Free local transport, train tickets for whole family to explorer the whole black forest region.
    Lovely town and restaurants

Much obliged. Plenty to consider, and narrowed the search.

Went on holiday when I was a kid and went all over europe, spent a
week at Bad Liebenzell and loved it.

Just clicked on the link above, that’s the place.

In true STW fashion- not answering the question directly…

    Thought about Denmark?
