Have had a last minute opportunity come up to take a much needed five day break over next weekend. We want to go camping with the bikes and kids – 2 1/2 and 8 months old so will be in a double trailer towed behind.

So looking for somewhere with nice riding, either very quiet roads or off road with decent surface and not too hilly. Ideally where we can base ourselves in a nice camp spot and have a fair bit of riding from the base, day trips with picnics etc.

So where to go? I don’t want to waste too much time driving, we are based in Surrey hills just south of London.

Thinking New Forest – but might be too busy as school holidays will just have started?

It does get bussy down here but there lots of fire trails with little to no gradient. The north of the forest is always quieter so as m for there if you are worried. Tbh the nf is like a beach really bussy near the car park and chip shop but 500 m down nearly empty.
