    I have a Tough TG1 for bike/sailing/messing around duties.

    It’s excellent.

Newer editions should be good too! Just remember to clean and dry the seals properly after every dunking.

    I have it.

It replaced an older Tough that didn’t live up to its name.

I umm’d and rrr’d towards some of the other brands and pleased I stayed with olympus.

I bought extra filters on the suggestion of forums. Also go the extra dust cover. Used it less than planned but it is dependable and a good camera – like the aperture adjustment option – first on an underwater camera.

It is bigger than others but solidly built.

Yeah older TGs with the three digit numbers were good for being waterproof etc but not that good as cameras. The single digit ones are much much better.

Very best thing about tough cameras in general is being able to strap them to a camelbak strap with a bungee arrangement that means you can take it out and take photos without even stopping. I’ve only seen one external holster, made by Oly. They also did a floatation wrist-strap, that I guess would work with any cam.
