I want to get a small camera bag to take a mirrorless camera, lense, flash and a few bits and pieces so do not want to get anything too big. I am looking at the satchel type bags but want to carry a full size tripod. Any body know if there is a bag of this kind with extra straps to attach a tripod?

Like most things, it depends on how much you want to spend. Billingham bags are awesome, The Hadley or Hadley Pro may be what you are looking for. Also you could look at the newcomers to the market Peak Designs.
I picked up one of their shoulder straps yesterday. A nice piece of kit.

Or at the other end of the scale, Amazon sell photo backpacks with tripod attachments for about £20. I went for a LowePro 200AW because I needed to carry a lot of kit and my tripod is massive 🙂
