    If you burn 1000 calories on a ride, or what ever, what is your actual weight loss likely to be? Assuming you don’t stuff your face with cake or pie whilst burning said calories.

    It’s 3500 calories per pound or thereabouts. Most of the immediate weight loss during a ride is made up of fluid.

    Depends on the proportion of carbohydrate, fat, protein, and alcohol burned up!
    1g of each contains roughly 4, 4, 9, and 11 calories…
