  • Calor gas regulators anyone?

MrsMC has brought home the gas cannister below that her Guide unit are planning on taking to camp, but checking it over there is a smell of gas as though it is leaking so I want to get the regulator off.

Seems to be some sort of clip on regulator but I can’t figure out how to unclip it. Google suggests there should be a release button, but nothing on the regulator.

    What am I missing please?

The big red thing is not a button by the way!

It should be, swivel the grey toggle 90deg then yank upwards.

The grey knob can be pushed in, once in the off position. That release the regulator.

Edit – Or Blazing Saddles may have it.

I’m more worried about why someone has removed the hose from the barb and left the regulator on.

I suspect the regulator was probably jammed last trip and they removed it that way as you should never leave it attached in that way.

Grey lever will turn 90 one way and gas will flow. From that position 180 degrees the other way an it should lift off. Normally you push a button(try pushing whole lever inwards) at 90 to allow it to go past off to travel the last 90 to disconnecr
