    They might aid recovery but AFAIK there’s no independent evidence to demonstrate they have any performance benefit when worn whilst riding.

    Some light evidence exists that these sleeves may increase the incidence of anterior tibialis tendonitis in long distance running.

    Full length for recovery? Yes.
    Calf sleeves? You’ll end up looking like a triathlete. Can’t let that happen.

    Have worn calf sleeve compression (sock less) after long rides for a few years now. Primarily to avoid the varicose veins that surface after a gruelling ride.
    Not sure if it’s down to them – but not got slightest sign of those ugly varicose veins yet … unlike almost all fellas around my age I ride with.
