Anyone know handy hints for taking cuttings? I visited some friends last year, really liked one of their plants, so cut a bit off. I couldn’t get it to root. So, best methods?

For the record, and if it makes any difference, the plant was like lots of triangular bits of card slotted together at right angles. That probably doesn’t paint a very good picture, but thats exactly what it was like.

Succulents normally very easy to take cuttings from, place cutting in 50:50 sand/soil mix, wait for it to grow.

Where best to cut, at a joint or through the middle of the fleshy bit. Planning to take a couple of each, but just wondering what the done thing is.
