    I’ve got these cheapy brakes, and they need a bleed.

    I’ve got the two small screws out of the reservoir cap (2nd pic down on the link) – every demo I’ve seen has the cap pop off nicely at this point…but mine doesn’t – something to do with the other round thing you can see in the picture on the cap. There seems no obvious easy way to loosen/remove it – don’t want to force it!

    Anyone got one of these, or know the trick to getting it off?

    PS – I’ve now had three methods recommended for this job – add oil at the reservoir and pump through with the handle, or use a syringe to drive oil upwards through the nipple, or to draw air/oil out from the nipple….any preferences?

    Leave the 2 screws in, undo the bleed cap(the round bit you mentioned) to screw in the plastic bleed cup that you’ll need to buy(£2.99ish).For further info, see Shimano techdocs for installation and bleeding instructions.
