    Hey guys,

Considering the Cycle2Work thingy if I can get my boss to agree tomorrow so had a couple of quick questions if that’s ok – aimed firstly at others who’ve used it and then some bike advice.

Is the scheme working out as good as it sounds from reading?
Will I have to go out of my way to get a bike or is it straight forward enough?
Anything I need to know, preparing a speech for boss, limtitations etc.

If this is all going to go ahead, I need to earmark a bike or two. I am drowing in tabs on firefox and the pages in these mags are turning into a blur: Ideas for a great AM bike sub £1100?

Until now, I’ve been looking at hardtails, specifically Genesis Core, White 901 and potentially a Boardman. Truth be told, I’ve been out of the game for a few years – my last bike being a Orange SubZero from new – I just don’t know where to look!

Thanks in advance (and sorry if this doesnt belong here)

How far is your commute to work and is it on/offroad ? An AM bike would seem overkill for commuting….

It’s about a 7mile round-trip but I plan play out at the weekends too 😀 Now, if my understanding of the scheme is correct:

    -I get a bike for £1000,
-Pay approx. £55 a month for 12 months out of my salary pre-tax etc.
    -After 12Months I either:
A: Pay 25% of it’s initial cost and take it away OR
B: Take an extended use agreement and pay a 3-7% refundable
deposit and then make monthly payments of £0.00 for 31months,
after which I take it away?

Or have I completely got the wrong end of the stick?
